SCOTTISH KARATE ALLIANCE - 2010 SHOBU IPPON OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS The 2012 Scottish Karate Alliance WUKF Shobu-ippon Open Championships were held at Citadel Leisure Centre ,Ayr ,South West Scotland on October 2nd. Senior referee and host was SKA President Bill Hair supported by SKA referees Bob Carter ,Ian Lambie , John Cornwell , Frank Devlin ,Matt McLaughlin, George Laidlaw and Kirsty Hair and judges Ronnie Russell ,Jan Black , Graham Crowe Danny Bradley and Kenny Learmonth .Also assisting with judging and refereeing was Jo Fisher ( SKU)Ken Tsai ( ITKA GB) Barbara Casey ( KUGB )and Les Dickson ( SKGB). The competition started on time at 12 noon on 5 tatamis and finished at 5.45pm ,the hard working officials working all day with out a break . Next years event will be on November 12 and everybody will be made most welcome.
